It's Been Awhile...Sorry!!

I have been negligent in my blogging and I apologize. I guess I did not realize so many people actually even looked at it until I was asked to post. I have had good reasons for not posting but I will not bore you with them.

Our little "Olympic team" has dwindled quit a bit since my last blog. They are quite the travelers this group! Purple girl is on her way to Holland today to be with her new family. She and her sister Pink have been living in Marietta, Ga for the last month. Pink, NKA Rosebud, originally went to be a companion for Purple while she was waiting to go to Holland, but we all knew how that would go! Little White girl, NKA Brandy went to live with a family friend in Seattle. She had a very special escort there because her new mom's daughter came to get her so she could enjoy a nice lap all the way to Seattle and not have to ride in the cargo area.

So, now a group of three is residing in my kitchen, Red girl, Orange boy, and Blue boy. I keep threatening to send them down to the kennel but they are all just so damn cute and I know we would miss them, if not their morning smell!! Red is the one I have planned to keep all along and orange has been the one who has tugged at my heart strings all along, so Blue is the only one who is now actually available I guess. Only a VERY special home will be good enough for this boy as he is much loved by all here!!

Anyway, I have added a few cute pictures and promise to add more soon. I think it would be a great idea for the owners of the puppies to also add to the blog and keep it going for all involved to enjoy.

13 Weeks Old

We now only have four remaining puppies. Pink and Purple girls left together last week. Purple will be moving to Holland in December and Pink will be staying in Atlanta. I am glad they will be together for awhile to ease the transition.
Meanwhile we still have Red, White, Blue, and Orange. They are a fun and easy little group. I think it is about time we gave them names. Red will be staying here with us and we have named her Glenarrif's Olympic Dreams and we are calling her Dreamer. Hopefully she will stay Dreamer and not be renamed Nightmare (or Freddie Kruger) like a previous dog! Blue boy has to be named Olympic Record so he can be called Phelps. He pretty much landed that name at birth. The other two we have not named yet as we had hoped their new owners would name them. I like the names Dara (the 40+ swimmer) and Misty(beach volley ball); not sure about names for the Orange boy.
We have been super busy and have not had much time for picture taking. Maybe today!!

Ten Weeks Old

Orange
Blue
Pink
Purple
Red
White
Yellow

This is such a fun age; and this litter has such great temperments across the board. They are all very outgoing and friendly and a joy to be with. They have had a lot of interaction with people. When they are outside a lot of neighbors stop and come over to play with them.
Today our group got a little smaller. Yellow girl went to her new home. We will miss her, but not chasing her every time they needed to come in or go out.

Nine Weeks Old

Red
White
Pink
Yellow
Purple
Orange
Blue
This is a GREAT group of puppies! They are funny, and just bad enough to be entertaining. They are still living in the kitchen! I don't have the heart to move them down into the dog room; we would miss them! Their personalities are really starting to emerge. Orange Boy is a big wimp; a laid back good old boy! He reminds me a lot of my sweet Chipper. He has a beautiful face with dark rimmed eyes. Blue Boy is very active and likes to bug any puppy trying to sleep while he is awake. He is very pretty and like his brother has the pretty face and eyes. Yellow Girl is a pistol. When it is time to go out or come in she refuses to be caught and makes us play a game of ring-around-the ex. pen with her. She is barking at us most of the time while we play her silly game. When all the ribbons came off last week we knew who she was right away because she was the only one left in the ex. pen barking at us! It is a good thing she is so pretty! A few nights after chasing her I wanted to put her in a box and drop her off at walmart!!! White Girl has really come a long way from her "runt days". She is now the queen and is a very tough ruler of the puppy kingdom. She is the only one allowed in the bed, and she will jump over all their heads to eat first! She is by far the feistiest puppy in the litter and makes it hard to remember how we worried and fretted over her. She melts my heart when she looks up at me with those dark rimmed eyes and pretty sweet face! Pink Girl is sweet, quiet, and laid back. She never really calls attention to herself. She has a pretty face and beautiful soft expression. Purple Girl is the biggest girl. I love her substance and face, she is so cute! She is lazy and prefers to watch the others play and excercise while she rests. She is my kind of girl!! Red Girl is very sweet and the licker of the bunch. She has been Logan's favorite from very early on because she would give kisses freely. Her personality is a blend of Purple's and White's; just enough personality to be cute and funny, but does not go out of her way to prove the point!

7 1/2 Weeks Random Pictures

White Girl's Revenge

A few of the original pictures in this blog showed LITTLE white collared girl being pushed away from her mother by her BIG orange collared brother. It was kinda cute and funny to see the progression in the pictures! Well, yesterday I captured something even funnier! White girl was bullying Orange boy and would not let him in the puppy pen. It is hilarious to see how this little runt has taken over them all!

Olympic Name Game

I am horrible at thinking up cute and creative/original dog names. Usually a theme helps, or at least helps generate interest in getting others to help. I am not sure choosing an Olympic themes was such a great idea. Everyone has their own idea of what aspect of the Olympics the names should be from. I think I have decided to just use Olympic in the registered names. Therein lies the problem....... I can't think of many! HELP PLEASE!!!!!!
So far I have thought of:
Glenarrif's Olympic Medalist (any medal winner names can be used for a call name except Nastia)
Glenarrif's Olympic Torch (Flame)
Glenarrif's Olympic Flame (Ember)
Glenarrif's Olympic Record (Michael/Phelps)
Glenarrif's Olympic Dreams (Dreamer)

HELP!!!!!
